We welcome applications from
current Band 6 or experienced Band 5s with a passion for respiratory
physiotherapy, with experience in acute care across multiple specialities, who
are motivated to learn & progress. You will be supported by Team Leaders /
Deputy Team Leaders on each rotation to develop core Respiratory assessment &
treatment skills.
Main duties of the job
Become part of our innovative
team covering inpatient and outpatient services including our on-call, twilight
and weekend working provision.
Rotations
are in the following areas Transplant & Cardiac Surgery, Cardiology,
Thoracic & PEA Surgery, ICU, Respiratory Support and Sleep Centre (RSSC)
and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Respiratory Medicine Wards (including
Bronchiectasis, ILD, & Pulmonary Hypertension) and Cystic Fibrosis.

departmental and team in service training
Regular
one to ones, clinical supervision, appraisals, and competency support
In
house courses and access to external courses and conferences
Involvement
with expert multi-disciplinary teams
Advanced
skill teaching and support including ECMO rehab, ventricular assist devices,
Nebulised drug challenges, tracheostomy weaning and decannulation.
Opportunity
for Service development projects and involvement with audits
Participation
in research.
Support
and guidance for you to mentor students and junior staff.
