Job summary
Royal Papworth Hospital are looking to appoint a motivated,
dynamic and enthusiastic individual to the role of Education and Training
Pharmacist.
You will lead on the training of registered and trainee
pharmacists and undergraduate pharmacy students as well as supporting
colleagues with the teaching of medical students, nursing staff and other
healthcare professionals.
Working alongside other members of the pharmacy education
team, you will develop the pharmacy education strategy, design and plan the
trainee pharmacist programme and provide support for pharmacists undertaking a
variety of postgraduate courses.
The
successful candidate will need to be an experienced pharmacist who can
compassionately support learners to
reach their potential, whilst being familiar with the challenges that they can
face.
Main duties of the job
Lead on the development of the education strategy
for the pharmacy department.
Plan and coordinate the trainee pharmacist
programme, undergraduate placements and work experience students.
Support line managers with induction programmes for
new starters and coordinate the pharmacy CPD sessions.
Together with the other education and training
pharmacist, provide teaching for medical students on a variety of pharmacy
topics.
