Job summary

We are pleased to be able to offer a full-time opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our friendly, dynamic, and quality driven Clinical Governance and Risk team. As the team administrator you will be responsible for assisting the team with a wide range of admin duties and computer tasks. We are interested in someone who has excellent administrative skills, ideally with prior knowledge of governance relating to care. The post involves the day-to-day admin of Trust incidents, risks and safety alerts using the Datix incident and risk management system and general administrative duties. You will be responsible for providing robust support in the co-ordination and completion of day-to-day administrative functions and assist, when required, with the admin requirements of the department in collaboration with the Claims, Complaints, and Inquest.

You will be supported with training to ensure that you feel part of a team but also working alone. Attention to detail and a flexible approach are essential.

Main duties of the job

We want someone with good IT skills, especially proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. Prior knowledge of the Datix incident and risk management software will be an advantage but training will be provided. There will be a requirement to organise, prioritise and adjust workload in relation to monthly and quarterly deadlines. You will be responsible for accurate data input, performing basic data analysis and reporting to external providers. The role also requires organising training sessions, meetings and minute taking.

This post will be based at Royal Papworth Hospital on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and the post holder should aspire to undertake a level 3 Business and Administration Apprenticeship Diploma. (To access apprenticeship funding candidates will need to have the right to work in the UK and have had UK residency for the last 3 years. For a level 3 apprenticeship we ask for GCSE maths and English (grade C or above) or functional skills level 2).
