Job summary

Reporting to and working closely with the Quality Compliance Officer, the post holder will play an important role in supporting the workstreams associated with quality compliance and clinical quality improvement by providing high calibre administrative support to both CQC compliance and quality improvement programmes of work.

The post-holder will focus on providing quality monitoring and support, assisting the Quality Compliance Officer to provide a transparent view of the Trust's CQC compliance status and tracking the completion of key monitoring activities. You will also support the Head of Clinical Quality Improvement & Transformation with the various quality improvement initiatives. You may also at times be asked to provide administrative assistance to the Assistant Director of Quality & Risk.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an experienced and efficient administrator, who is capable of working on their own initiative, is passionate about attention to detail and who can act as an advocate for improvement. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication capabilities, and be able to prioritise a dynamic workload effectively. Solid basic IT skills are essential.

Prior experience in a compliance or quality assurance role is highly desirable.

The role is office based at Royal Papworth Hospital, 20 hours per week, ideally across 4 days. There may be a requirement to travel to the Trust's administration hub in Huntingdon.

Essential

  • NVQ III in Business Administration or Customer Care, BTEC OR Secretarial diploma or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
  • GCSE English and Mathematics Grade C or Level 4 and above
  • European Computer Driving License (ECDL) or equivalent qualification or experience

Desirable

  • Compliance or Quality Assurance qualification

Experience

  • Previous experience of a full range of clerical/administrative duties
  • Previous experience of minute taking and organising meetings
  • Experience of providing administrative support to a project or programme
  • Experience of working independently and on own initiative without supervision
  • Experience in working collaboratively within a team environment
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office programme especially Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
  • Excellent verbal communication skills both face to face and over the telephone
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including sensitivity, discretion and diplomacy using tact or persuasion to overcome potential resistance
