We have a part time Cardiac Rehabilitation Administrator opportunity available.

We are passionate about supporting cardiac patients following a range of procedures this includes exercise progression, risk factor management and nutritional advice.

We are part of a larger multi-disciplinary department, and this is a great opportunity for you to join a supportive and innovative team of allied health professionals and nurses working with cardiac patients at a specialist tertiary centre.

This role is a part-time (23.5 hours a week) post and hours can be flexible.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic administrator to work as part of our friendly multidisciplinary cardiac rehabilitation team.

You will take responsibility for the administration within the cardiac rehabilitation service including timely and accurate communication and referrals within the trust and externally.

You must be organised in administrative duties as well as having computer and database experience.

You will have experience of working in an environment dealing with customers by telephone and face to face. You must have excellent communication and organisational skills along with the ability to be flexible, work under pressure and work as a team member. Medical terminology will also be an advantage to this post.

Essential

  • European Computer Driving License (ECDL) or equivalent qualification or experience

Desirable

  • NVQ II in Administration or Customer Service or equivalent qualification or experience.

Experience

  • Knowledge of secretarial an administration procedures and systems to vocational level 3 or equivalent
  • Previous experience of using Microsoft Office Applications
  • Recent experience of working in an office environment
  • The ability to communicate basic or sensitive information to colleagues, patients and relatives
  • The ability to pay close attention to detail in written and electronic communication and information storage
  • The ability to take responsibility for cost effective use of resources
  • Ability to treat all information confidentially
