Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate physiotherapist
to join our team providing a comprehensive physiotherapy service to
patientswith a wide range of cardio-respiratory conditions in both
inpatient and outpatient settings. Newly
qualified or experienced Band 5 physiotherapist to gain experience in
respiratory medicine and cardiothoracic surgery physiotherapy.
As part of our team, you will gain
experience in different rotations across the Trust. These rotations will
provide experience in

Support and Sleep Centre (RSSC).The RSSC is a leading centre in the provision
and weaning of mechanical ventilation.

Critical
Care. Including experience with patients requiring mechanical support such as
ECMO and Ventricular Assist Devices.
You will be part of a friendly, supportive, and proactive team, with a
full induction andmentorship programme. We encourage and support staff
with involvement in service development and audit. There are opportunities
for staff to access specialist courses within the cardiothoracic field.

our supportive, dynamic, and growing Physiotherapy team in our
internationally renowned Cardiothoracic Hospital at Cambridge Biomedical
Campus.
Main duties of the job
To
provide a comprehensive Physiotherapy service to patients with a wide range of
cardio-respiratory conditions in in-patient settings. To build on developed physiotherapy skills
and consolidate specialist skills in cardiopulmonary physiotherapy required to
manage these patient groups via six-month rotational system.
Rotations
are in the following areas Transplant & Cardiac Surgery, Intensive Care,
Respiratory Support and Sleep Centre (RSSC) and Pulmonary Rehabilitation,
Respiratory Medicine (including Bronchiectasis, ILD, & Pulmonary
Hypertension) and Cystic Fibrosis.
Clinical
support will be provided through mentorship by a Deputy Team Lead or Band 6
Physiotherapist.
After completing the
initial training, the post holder will be expected to participate in the seven-day
working / on-call / late shift rotas as appropriate.
