Following a restructure in our Emergency Operations Centre's (EOC), we are currently looking for Clinical Duty Managers.
As a Clinical Duty Manager you will be accountable for the effective Leadership and Management of the clinical delivery of the Emergency Operation Centre's for Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
Making clinical and management decisions that are proportionate and necessary to ensure the safe provision of high-quality clinical care to the patients of Yorkshire. You will be responsible for the delivery of both the Operations and Strategic objectives of the Trust.
Main duties of the job
You will provide leadership across the virtual service, ensuring staff are fully engaged, supported, and developed and that the service culture is one of continuous improvement by delivering on the key performance indicators (KPIs) for the service ensuring effective and efficient quality of care is provided 365 days a year.
Behaviours within the role will be as important as results and it is essential for the Duty Manager to be flexible in approach to manage the day to day running of a busy Emergency Operations Centre environment, to ensure that the service is best set to meet the needs of patients.
Clinical Duty Managers undertake the role of tactical commander in line with JESIP principles, managing any major/critical incidents that occur in conjunction with strategic commanders and Senior Management teams, always taking responsibility for communications relating to the incident.
Interviews will be held on Thursday 5th September at Yorkshire Ambulance Service Wakefield headquarters, alternative dates will only be honoured in exceptional circumstances.
