Job summary

We are looking for an Infrastructure SME specialising in Cyber Security. In this exciting role you will have the opportunity to help build and shape new ICT solutions for the Trust from the ground up as well as ensuring the cyber security of all Trust systems.

The post will be based at our Trust Headquarters in Wakefield with scope for flexible working, although the postholder will be required to bemobile to support on call, therefore have the ability to travel throughout YAS and worksites in a timely manner. Eg. Must have own car and validUK driving licence.

Main duties of the job

Responsible, alongside the Infrastructure and Voice Communications Manager, for co-creating and communicating an inspiring, compelling,forward-looking patient-centric vision for Enterprise digital and information management services which will support the Trust's strategic direction.

The role includes the responsibility of the Trusts technical specification, design authority and integrity of highly complex information andcommunications technology infrastructure which underpins all Yorkshire Ambulance Service digital systems, infrastructure and services.

  • Professional network IT qualifications i.e. CCNA/CCNP or equivalent
  • Good presentation and negotiation skills to produce and present formal proposals and get proposals accepted

  • Experience of specifying, configuring and managing a variety servers, routers, switches, firewalls and other IT infrastructure
  • Experience of mitigating security vulnerabilities using a variety of methods.
  • Evidence of working closely with Suppliers, other NHS organisations and non-IM&T staff to successfully deliver mission critical projects
  • Evidence of network and security continuity planning and testing.
