Would you like to lead a project that has a positive impact on our future recruitment at Yorkshire Ambulance Service and to the patients that we care for?

A temporary assignment that will make a big difference has become available at Yorkshire Ambulance Service as a Recruitment Project Officer working within the recruitment team. This is a short-term and unique opportunity.

There may be an expectation to travel to other sites as and when necessary to support our onboarding processes. Whilst the base may still be HQ, we encourage staff to work remotely from home.

Main duties of the job

You will be supporting in developing ways to improve our recruitment processes with a specific focus on the recruitment of staff into our call centres, which include our Patient Transport Service, (PTS) Integrated Urgent Care (111) and Emergency Operations Centre (999) The objective of the Recruitment Project Officer role is to help to raise the profile of the call handler role across the three services, to support in attracting high-quality candidates to the role and to ensure successful applicants have a positive and personal recruitment journey.

This is a fast-paced environment where you will work closely with other members of the Recruitment team. We are looking for an individual who is committed, proactive and enthusiastic. Previous experience within recruitment is not essential, as we are looking for someone who is able to lead a project and implement change, to ensure they can hit the ground running. As the successful applicant, your role will be to use problem-solving, reassurance and influencing skills to enable, deliver and embed change. We are keen to hear from people who have proactive and problem-solving approaches and who are passionate about making a difference. You will join an ambitious and supportive team and work collaboratively with colleagues across the Recruitment team and wider HR department in improving our call centre recruitment process. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be confident working with key stakeholders.
