Job summary

We are currently recruiting for a Patient Flow Assistant to work within a hospital setting and as part of a team on a bank 0 hours contract.

The post holder will provide a friendly, efficient and patient focused reception and administration service to Patient Transport Service users and other stakeholders.

Key to the role is the provision of an appropriate level of customer support that engenders customer satisfaction and confidence in the Trust.

Main duties of the job

To support the continued development of the service, an opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as a Bank Patient Flow Assistant (PFA) within the West Yorkshire Area.The successful candidate will be responsible for handling queries over the telephone from patients, doctors, hospitals and others. You will also deal with patients attending appointments at the hospital marking them ready to go home and looking after their transport needs ensuring that delays are kept to a minimum.The ability to communicate on all levels is essential and the successful applicant must be able to work on their own or as part of a team and use their initiative.

The successful applicant will need to be available to work at any of our West Yorkshire sites, own transport is essential for this post.

Responsible for the treatment, care and safe transportation of patients, carrying out those responsibilities in areliable and professional manner whilst adhering to the policies and standards inherent within the Trust.

Work within a geographical area of Patient Transport Services as part of the local management team.
