Job summary

We are growing our team and recruiting for a Diversity & Inclusion Advisor, seeking an experienced individual with working knowledge of diversity and inclusion and an interest in someone with strong analytical and data analysis skills, to support the team.

Main duties of the job

The Diversity and Inclusion Advisor will support the Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion with the effective implementation of the Trust's Diversity and Inclusion plan, by ensuring that Diversity and Inclusion is mainstreamed into all areas of the Trust.

This involves assisting with the co-ordination of evidence and key requirements of our Equality Standards which include; Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES), Disability Equality Standard (DES), Stonewall Diversity Champions Programme and the Equality Delivery System (EDS) 2022.

The Diversity and Inclusion Advisor will assist and support colleagues across the Trust to develop, implement and monitor performance in relation to its diversity and inclusion objectives; provide advice to staff on the development and review of the Trust's policy and practice and promote good relations through events and activities both internally and externally.

You will also need a working knowledge and understanding of diversity and inclusion theory and application, legislation and policy with practical application across the whole diversity and inclusion spectrum, rather than just specialism in a few specific areas.

Please be aware, although the base location is listed as HQ, there may be an expectation to travel to other sites as an when necessary. We encourage staff to work flexibily and have hybrid and flexible working practices in place.
