Main duties of the job

Working in the HR Operations team leading the People Systems Team, the People Systems Manager will ensure all workforce systems are fit for purpose and used to their full capacity. As a systems expert and data custodian, they will lead the planning and development of all improvements to our highly complex people systems, specifically the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system and subsequent technical interfaces. They will ensure that all existing and new systems work together, with all functionality utilised to its maximum benefit, whilst protecting the highly sensitive data that is captured within these systems. They will also have the opportunity to work regionally and nationally with other Trusts through engaging with user groups.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of working with a variety of HR systems including their use for workforce planning and modelling, ideally that expertise being in the NHS Electronic Staff Record system. You must have the ability to interpret complex technical information and formulate system improvements as we as the ability to analyse information and present it in an easily understood, logical format.
