Job summary

We have an exciting new opportunity for a senior manager to take the lead on our community engagement ambitions and lead the implementation of our new strategy.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone to establish our Trust as a key partner within our communities and develop an effective programme of community engagement activities, encompassing safety, education and employment and make the connections between the NHS, local authority, third sector and our diverse communities.

We are looking for someone who is committed to involving stakeholders in the delivery of our strategy, proactively seeking out and engaging with groups across our area to create resources and deliver programmes.

Working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders, we are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to improve engagement across our organisation and with our communities.

You will be highly organised, able to juggle competing priorities and have a positive and innovative approach to delivering projects. You will be a strong, dynamic and confident team player who is able to grow, build and maintain relationships with others.

You must have demonstrable experience of working with a range of stakeholders, with a skill for true collaboration and commitment to community partnerships, engagement and addressing health inequalities.

You will have the knowledge and skills needed for effective community engagement. You will have proven data skills, with the ability to use information, including public health analysis, to identify priorities and target activity, demonstrating and evaluating outcomes.

You should be educated to degree level and have substantial experience of community and public engagement, within the NHS, public or voluntary sector organisations.

Due to the current situation we are currently working from home but would usually be based at Trust Headquarters in Wakefield. You will be provided with everything that you need to enable home working at this time.
