You will be involved in the provision of clinical and operational pharmacy service to the patients of LYPFT (and at times other organisations under a service level agreement).You will be expected and encouraged to undertake continued professional development in the areas of general pharmacy and mental health pharmacy as outlined by the General Pharmaceutical Council and College of Mental Health PharmacyYou will have equal clinical and service provision responsibilities, the latter in the form of Medicines information sessions. You will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to a number of units.You will provide professional pharmacist support to the site you are based and other pharmacists in the trust as requiredIn order to gain a rounded experience of mental health pharmacy, you may be required to work across sites and to participate in the on call and weekend rota.

The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds. The successful candidate will have up-to-date clinical knowledge and experience and will be able to apply this to improve the quality of clinical care.A background in hospital practice is desirable but not essential, as there will be opportunities for the development of clinical skills as well as the opportunity to undertake further clinical training. Your post would be rotational, offering you the opportunity to develop your clinical skills across the full range of our inpatient services.
