Job summary

This role provides senior leadership to our specialist West Yorkshire Children and Young Peoples Provider Collaborative. We have come a long way since the start of the provider collaborative and have built positive relationships with members of the partnership. There is much more to do though with the growing demand and needs of young people affected by Mental Health issues - we want to make sure that they receive the care and support they need here in West Yorkshire. Clearly work alongside communities, families and provider across the West Yorkshire footprint will take us further in achieving this aim.

For this reason, the postholder will be able to demonstrate a professional background in Children and Young Peoples Mental Health alongside exemplary senior leadership and management skills.

Main duties of the job

Working collaboratively with the partner organisations, the PC Lead will be accountable for setting the strategic direction of the West Yorkshire (WY) CYP MH Provider Collaborative (PC). They will promote the development of practice across the Provider Collaborative, ensuring safe and effective practice, systems of clinical involvement and assurance of quality. The primary aim of the role is to work with clinicians and stakeholders in partner organisations to develop and drive forward a clinical model informed by the needs and views of people with lived experience, ensuring it is reflective of best practice and national guidelines, and is in line with the requirements of the Collaborative. This will involve driving forward repatriation plans, supporting the key ambition for service users to be cared for in area where possible.

The postholder will provide and develop a working environment and culture of trust, openness and effective team working which fosters high morale, commitment and optimum performance among all staff and promotes their well-being, professional and personal development in line with service needs.
