Job summary
The successful candidate will work across the Trust to provide information and knowledge services from bedside to boardroom. You will be part of a small and well-regarded team with a high standard of professional skills, trusted to provide quality information services to help decision making and inform best practice.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the library and knowledge service; assisting the Library and Knowledge Services Manager in proactively providing and developing an information and research service to Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust staff and partners.
The post holder will supervise the Library Assistants to ensure that their duties are carried out in an efficient and effective manner.
Main duties of the job
You will work to support evidence-based decision making by conducting literature searches and evidence summaries, provide information skills training including searching skills, using the Cochrane Library, the NHS Knowledge Hub and other resources as needed. You will be responsible for collection management of the Mental Health Library including print and electronic resources, and you will lead on library outreach activities with teams and services in Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. You will work with the Library and Knowledge Services Manager to build the knowledge mobilisation activities of Library and Knowledge Services to grow and embed this as a service.
