Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist with a passion for safety and patient-centred care.
With a proven track record of successfully leading a team you will be responsible for the provision of high-quality clinical pharmacy services across the trust with a focus on patient-centred care, staff engagement and continuous improvement.
Whilst previous experience of providing care to people with mental health and learning disabilities conditions is desirable it is not essential provided you have a keen interest in this field and are committed to developing your knowledge and skills in this area.
Main duties of the job
As the Trust's Medicines Safety Officer (MSO) you will work closely with the Trust's Patient Safety Team to respond to medicines safety alerts/ guidance, incidents and risks, supporting staff to prevent and resolve issues, share learning and good practice and promote a strong Just Culture of safety to protect patients from medicines-related harm.
The successful candidate will provide strategic, clinical and professional direction for the development of pharmacy services and medicines optimisation, deputising for the Chief Pharmacist when needed and as a development opportunity.
You will be supported by our committed and highly valued pharmacy team, and work closely with our Chief Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Services Business/ Operations manager and the senior lead pharmacists you line manage.
