Connect are the lead provider of specialist adult eating disorder services across West Yorkshire and one of the leading National eating disorder Provider Collaboratives.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Nurse Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our community-based team.

The post holder must hold the Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Non-Medical Prescriber qualifications.
Main duties of the job
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) for Eating Disorders will provide direct clinical care to service users within the Adult Eating Disorder services, both in the community and in-patient setting, as a senior clinician within the service.
The ANP role and function will demonstrate the 4 pillars of Advance Clinical Practice:

The role will provide clinical leadership for the Nursing workforce within the service, working closely with fellow clinical, professional and operational leads, and will support the development of an effective MDT within their area of practice. The ANP will support the design and development of clinical pathways across the inpatient and community services, at an ICS level.
The ANP will take a lead on nursing assessment and treatment, ensuring that patients with highly complex needs are provided with high quality, evidenced based care and treatment. The role will improve the quality of and access to primary healthcare provision and strengthen professional leadership, supporting the development and practice of junior clinicians. The ANP will work closely together with the operational and clinical team managers to ensure the delivery of high quality, professional nursing practice across the service.

Alongside the clinical components of the role including referral triage, assessments, discharges and physical health management, the ANP will be an essential position within the leadership team, contributing to service development with strategic vision. The ANP will promote partnership working, extending beyond healthcare providers and across the ICS footprint as part of the CONNECT community model. The ANP will work with other leaders to support the development and implementation of New Care Models.
The ANP will undertake research and lead on clinical audits relevant to nursing and to their field of Eating Disorders practice.
In addition:
- Will assess and hold a caseload of complex service users identified as requiring the clinical input of an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, and will lead on the delivery of some aspects of clinical care for all service users within the community setting
- Demonstrates the skills for assessing care needs in response to highly complex presentations and responding to these, developing and leading highly specialised programmes / packages of care within both the in-patient and community setting.
- Take a lead role on community based physical health monitoring and physical health risk management.
- Able to build collaborative approaches with service users and carers, ensuring their involvement in formulation, care planning and care delivery
- To facilitate and review approved Quality Improvement initiatives within the care setting.
- Provide an excellent standard of communication and relationship building with service users, carers, partners / stakeholders and colleagues.
- Work in alliance with the Head of Operations, the Clinical Lead and other senior clinical staff, provide collaborative leadership to the nursing workforce and other colleagues across the wider ED services.
