This is an exciting opportunity to join Leeds Community and Wellbeing services, as we embark on our journey to transform our community services across Leeds and we are currently in the first phase of service transformation, in line with the NHS long-term plan.
We are investing significantly in psychological profession utilising interventions and how we strengthen a system of care which is psychologically informed. We have a range of opportunities for training and development, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Our collective aim is to achieve greater integration between secondary and primary mental health services, along with the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector. We're really passionate about having people who use our services, their families and carers more involved in the care provisions we deliver.
Leeds community mental health services are multi-disciplinary groups of professionals working together to provide specialist community-focused mental health services to working age adults. Psychological practitioners are a much valued and integral part of this work, providing specialist assessment and interventions, and also contributing to the clinical thinking and decision making of the teams. Alongside direct clinical work, a key component of their role is to provide supervision, consultation, and training to the wider team.
Main duties of the job
To deliver evidence based psychological therapies with community and wellbeing service settings.
To be a member of a multi-disciplinary team offering psychological thinking and consultation.
At 8a level to deliver clinical and therapy supervision to other psychological professions.
We are keen to recruit people with experience, knowledge and skills of working with severe and enduring mental health difficulties such as complex trauma, psychosis, interpersonal difficulties, and self-harm. Equally important are leadership skills and the ability to develop innovative practice. We are looking for people who can contribute to the vision for the service, working closely with colleagues in different parts of the system, including primary care and our valued voluntary sector partners. A key part of this role is to provide clinical supervision to other psychology professionals within the team.

To contribute to service development by utilising research skills for audit, service development and research within the service area.
To provide a key role in psychological aspects of service development in service areas of primary responsibility working towards the delivery of clinical supervision to other psychological professionals.
