Job summary

Are you an experienced mental health nurse looking for the next step in your career? Want flexibility and a Monday to Friday working pattern to accommodate your work / home life balance? If you are a qualified Mental Health Nurse or Occupational Therapist then consider joining our friendly multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Teams within Older Peoples Services, with vacancies in the North and South of Leeds.

You will have post registration experience and be able to demonstrate an in depth understanding of the needs of Service Users with severe, enduring and complex mental health needs. An understanding of the needs around dementia would be desirable, however are not essential as we shall provide you with specialist training and development to ensure you are fully supported in this role.

Main duties of the job

You will manage a varied and complex caseload which will include completing holistic and specialised assessments and therapeutic interventions. You will possess excellent case management skills as you will be required to provide care co-ordination within the framework of the CPA process. Service User involvement is at the centre of our approach and this should be reflected in your values and practice. You will be able to demonstrate a range of therapeutic interventions and be committed to the concept of recovery. Although working within a multidisciplinary team you will have the opportunity to work autonomously and flexibly.
