Job summary

Leeds Recovery College delivers a range of education and training courses to help increase awareness and understanding of mental health, wellbeing, and personal recovery.

In recent years, with the support of the Leeds Heath and Care Academy, we have developed a separate programme of interactive and experiential mental health awareness and wellbeing training exclusively for staff who work within the Leeds health and care system, as part of Leeds One Workforce.

We are now looking to expand this work and recruit an experienced mental health and wellbeing trainer to lead on the development and delivery of this programme.

You will be self-motivated, able to work cross organisational and have a good working knowledge of the Leeds health and care landscape and the demands on staff wellbeing. You will be experienced in developing and evaluating training and educational interventions, and comfortable engaging and networking with a wide range of organisations and staff teams.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role include:

  • Leading on the delivery of a range of mental health and wellbeing workshops and trainings for staff working in the Leeds heath and care system.
  • Coordinating and developing a small team of external wellbeing trainers, and volunteer lived experience facilitators.
  • Expanding the current programme of training to ensure it is accessible and relevant to workforce needs.
  • Evaluating, monitoring, and reporting on the programme, keeping a network of stakeholders up to date and fully engaged.
