We are looking for a committed and motivated practitioner able to demonstrate an in depth understanding of the needs of Service Users with dementia/cognitive impairment. Main duties of the job

An understanding of the needs around dementia would be desirable but not essential as the successful candidate will receive training and supervision from a senior practitioner. Good communication skills are also a key fundamental element to your role.

Service User and carers involvement is at the centre of our approach and you will embrace this in your practice. You will be able to demonstrate a range of evidence to assist the diagnosis and support of service users and their carer.

Within your role you will be able to make a positive contribution to the development of the service. You will have the opportunity to mentor students who undertake placements within the team. You will be encouraged to have access to regular supervision and to maintain your own professional development.

You will need to be able to work independently out in the community as well as being part of a Multi-Disciplinary team. It is essential that you have a full UK driving licence and use of a car. Successful applicants will be offered a comprehensive continuing professional development package which will include access to appraisal, clinical and managerial supervision.
