Job summary

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and highly motivated mental health nurse, occupational therapist or social worker to join our NHS England commissioned regional team based in our North East Hub, Sunderland.

This exciting opportunity, within an innovative and experienced MDT and with our partner provider Combat Stress, is keen to recruit a forward thinking clinician. The successful applicant will join a service which can provide a wealth of opportunities for contributing to the development of the service, as well as placing a strong emphasis on professional development.

This role is community based and as such requires a high level of autonomous practice and sound clinical reasoning skills.

The successful candidate will receive training, support and supervision from a senior practitioner, with a strong emphasis on personal and professional development.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to provide care coordination, utilising the CPA framework, for the delivery of care; maintaining a focus on recovery and adopting a person-centred approach. You will have excellent communication, organisational and clinical reasoning skills, as well as the ability to travel across the geographical region of the service.

You will deliver stabilisation interventions to veterans on your caseload in addition to on-going assessment of mental state and risk management, promoting the active involvement of veterans and carers in all aspects of their care delivery. Clinical appointments will be delivered in person and via a range of remote technologies.

The post holder will provide a range of highly skilled interventions (including group work) as determined by the service (appropriate to professional expertise) and share those skills with other team members

Whilst having access to good quality clinical supervision, the post holder will exercise a high level of professional and clinical autonomy
