Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen due to retirement for a band 7 clinical team manager to join our forward thinking, dynamic team at Mill Lodge. The main aspects of the role would be leading the day to day management of the inpatient service. The role is extremely varied and includes staff support and supervision, some indirect and direct clinical work specifically naso-gastric feeding, estates management, risk assessment and health and safety of the service, recruitment and service development. There is also an expectation that the clinical team manager will undertake some on call shifts as part of the roster.
Main duties of the job
The clinical team manager will manage the staff team. They will provide a high level of clinical knowledge and experience to help inform clinical decisions for the young people. They will supervise and supportively manage staff, enable recruitment of staff, be the point of contact for any estates issues, be involved in service development projects, participate in clinical governance and MDT meetings, manage complaints and work closely with other partners. They will work closely with the operational manager, practice development lead nurse and the clinical lead to promote a culture of compassionate, high quality care and successful outcomes for young people and their families.
