Job summary
To provide a strategic lead in the development of the health improvement agenda across Leeds and York Partnership Foundation Trust, ensuring alignment with local and national Public Health strategies. To lead on the implementation of specialist local health improvement programmes within the adult and older adult inpatient setting in identified priority areas.
To work closely with the Healthy Living Service Operations Manager, Service Leads and Public Health colleagues across the city to contribute to the work of the healthy living service and the wider Trust

Main duties of the job
- Programme management of public health programmes addressing health inequalities within the service user population. Including implementation of evidenced based health improvement interventions in the identified priority areas - smoking cessation, physical activity, healthy eating and alcohol use.
- To develop systems and processes to support, monitor and evaluate health improvement activity within the service user population.
- To provide line management, including regular supervision and yearly appraisals, to a team of Healthy Living Advisors delivering first line healthy living interventions.
- To foster a culture of ongoing improvement and innovation in order to respond to service demand and the evolving needs of the service user population.
