Job summary
The EPR Product Specialist for Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (SFH) will report into the EPR Applications and Data Assurance Manager, they will be the subject matter expert for one or more EPR features (e.g., clinical documentation, orders/results, ePrescribing & medicines administration, ED, theatres, maternity, outpatients).
You will be required to demonstrate the product to a range of stakeholders in groups and or individual (one to one).
Although hybrid working is available across the team, this role will be central to the EPR programme and will therefore require a minimum on-site presence of three days per week at Sherwood Forest Hospitals. During go-live or other key delivery periods, on-site requirements may increase.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead product design, configuration, and optimisation to deliver safe, usable, and standardised workflows that improve patient outcomes and staff experience. They may directly manage a delivery team and will be responsible for ensuring the configuration is to the agreed specification of requirement.
They will bridge clinical, operational, information and technical teams, ensuring the EPR solution aligns to clinical safety, information governance, interoperability standards, and the Trust's strategic priorities.
The role will drive adoption through training input, super user networks, and continuous improvement cycles, ensuring measurable benefits are realised.

- oDegree-level education or equivalent experience in health informatics, IT, or a related discipline.
- oJava script training equivalent to level 2 or significant experience in using Java script within an EPR system
- oProject management or configuration-related qualification at foundation level (e.g., PRINCE2 Foundation, AgilePM, ITIL).
Desirable
- oVendor certification or formal training in EPR systems.
- oProject management or configuration-related qualification (e.g., PRINCE2 Practitioner, AgilePM, ITIL).
