Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a CAMHS Eating Disorders Mental Health Practitioner post to work as part of the CAMHS Eating Disorders Team.
The post holder will be a keymember of the team offeringfamily based care to children and young people in the community and the paediatric ward, liaising with all agencies involved with care.
You will be based with the CAMHS team, coordinating care, team meetings and MDT meetings for children and young people, and joining the supervision structures and offering consultation to CAMHS colleagues.
You will be a registered practitioner, RMN, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Clinical Psychologist and have experience of working with children or adults who experience eating disorders.

Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of care for children and young people referred with eating disorders. You will provide first line management and leadership to the team ensuring that care is of the highest standard and delivered in accordance with Policies and Procedures.
To be proactive in ensuring the efficacy of the CAMHS Eating Disorder (CED) care pathway and that of the shared paediatric / CED pathway, influencing service development with the support of the CED Team Lead.
To be a senior clinician, assessing the psychological, social and physical factors relevant to the care of the mental health of children, adolescents and their families, experiencing severe eating disorders, planning, implementing and managing family based interventions in keeping with National Guidelines.
To present a professional image and promote a positive image of CAMHS and the Trust to service users, carers and the community as a whole
About us
The CAMHS Eating Disorder service consists of a multi- disciplinary team, based within the CAMHS Service at The Den, Chesterfield Royal Hospital. The team link closely with the other CAMHS teams and with the hospital's paediatric ward.
