Clinical Engineering Technical Administrator

Job summary

As part of our ongoing development, we are looking to recruit a full-time Clinical Engineering Technical Administrator.

This is a newly created post, giving a great opportunity to join our Clinical Engineering Team working for Derbyshire Services Facilities (D.S.F.S.) based at the Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

The Clinical Engineering Technical Administrator will be responsible for providing a high quality administrative service. This will include the administration of our medical device inventory database, Radio Frequency Identification (RfID) System, along with the management and scheduling of our planned preventative maintenance programme. They will also work closely with our Procurement Department to ensure compliance and value for money of our external maintenance contracts.

Main duties of the job

Administration, maintenance and development of both our medical device database and the Radio Frequency Identification (RfID) System.

Planning and ensuring compliance of our planned preventative maintenance programme.

Scheduling service visits and completing associated documentation.

Produce monthly statistics for our Key Performance Indicator's (K.P.I.), reporting to both D.S.F.S. and Trust Board of Directors.

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis via IT systems and producing reports often relating to complex information

Qualifications & Training

Essential

  • 5 x GCSE or equivalent including English, Maths & Science at Grade 4/C or above
  • International Computer Driving Licence (formerly ECDL) or equivalent level of experience
  • A higher education qualification, training or equivalent experience equitable to a Level 4 qualification in a customer care, engineering or science related subject

Desirable

  • Advanced keyboard skills (RSA 3 or equivalent)

Experience

  • Comprehensive working experience in using Microsoft office packages with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of working in a customer care environment
