Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our Child Health Department at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. As a member of a dedicated and supportive multi-disciplinary team, including Clinical Psychologists, Speech and language therapists, Paediatricians, and nurses you will have the support & supervision of colleagues from a variety of disciplines.

There is also an exciting opportunity to be involved in expanding and developing the post-diagnostic offer the service provides, with psychological intervention skills being a key part of this. Training and development would also be offered as identified.

The team has several options available for flexible and hybrid working, including regular homeworking with appropriate IT equipment and support.

Main duties of the job

You will be an active, autonomous member of a multi-disciplinary team providing specialist psychological services to children, adolescents, and families in North Derbyshire. Your role will include:

Provide highly specialist psychological assessments and formulations for children and young people with complex needs.

Participating in multi-disciplinary assessments for Autism assessments.

Recommending strategies and advice for children and families to support neurodevelopmental needs.

Neuropsychological assessment of children and young people with complex needs and intervention for children and families .
