Job summary

DSFS are looking to attract the right candidate into the role of Security Operative on a Zero hr contract to join the current security team based at the Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

Security services are provided 24/7 to the Trust and successful candidates would be expected to be flexible to ensure full service cover is provided to the hospital.

Please note that a current SIA licence Frontline is essential for this role.

The hourly rate for this zero hour contract vacancy is £11.68 plus enhancements for nights and weekends pro rata per annum

Main duties of the job

Prepare and disseminate daily handover reports briefing the oncoming team of all the incidents occurred during your duty, covering any events that are due to take place during the oncoming shift.

Advise, remind and encourage staff members to develop an interest in crime prevention and protection of personal, patients and Trust property.

Keeping a record of all duties carried out each shift in a personal note book as well as entering any untoward incidents in the daily occurrence log.

Complete incident reporting using the Trusts incident reporting system when necessary.

Assist with safe operation during take-off and landing of Air Ambulance and security of same whilst on ground.

Monitor the access control systems, paying particular attention to break glass notifications, doors left open, faults and temporary interruptions to service.

Maintaining a highly visible deterrent by patrolling of hospital on foot and via vehicle, indoing this checking all property and land associated with the Trust is secure and free of hazards.

Respond to any security/fire related incidents on CRH site.

  • oKnowledge of the Security or Customer Service industry.
  • Knowledge and experience of IT systems including Outlook,
  • oKnowledge of security systems, such as CCTV, access control, intruder alarms and car parking systems.
  • oGCSE's grade c or above in English and Maths
  • oValid SIA licence in Frontline

Desirable

  • oA recognised qualification in security and or physical intervention.
  • oExcellent knowledge or qualifications in Customer Service and Health & Safety.

Experience

  • oExperience of working within a security team or customer focused service.
