Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen fora Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Children's Community Nursing Team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. The role will comprise of 31.5 hours.

The CCN team provide nursing care for Children and Young people with complex life limiting and life threating illness in their home or other appropriate community settings.

Main duties of the job

Experience of working with children with special needs and complex health care needs (Essential)

You will have achieved RSCN or RN Child Branch (Essential).

1st level degree or equivalent experience (Essential)

998 or equivalent teaching qualification (Essential)

Community experience nursing children with special needs or complex health needs (Desirable)

Knowledge of safeguarding children issues together with strong clinical skills (Essential)

Excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development (Essential)

Ability to work independently and time manage own caseload.

Experience in assessment planning and provision of nursing care for children and young adults.

A car driver with a full current driving license (Essential).

Non-Medical Prescriber qualification (Desirable / willing to work towards)
