Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Imaging department management team.The post, Clinical Manager - Plain Film X-Ray is a Lead role within our organisation who willassist the Head of Imaging in the delivery of a high quality and efficient plain film X-ray service that meets the needs of the Trust and wider healthcare community.
Main duties of the job
Contributes to the delivery of outstanding patient care by:
Managing and lead a high quality Plain Film X-Ray service.
Represent the Imaging department in multi-disciplinary meetings and committees and deputise for the Head of Imaging.
Organise and participate in radiographer post-graduate training.
Take a lead role in audit, research and quality assurance.
Promote Service Improvement and radiographer skills development to maintain and advance capacity and capability.
Take a lead role in Clinical Governance for the Plain Film x-ray modality and contribute to clinical governance of the whole department.
To be a consistent presence in Plain Film X-Ray during the working week, supporting staff and occasionally visiting and working at satellite departments.
The Clinical Manager - Plain Film X-Ray will not work out-of-hours as part of their core role.
