The East Midlands Acute Providers Digital Design Collaborative (EMAP DDC)
The Digital Design Collaborative (DDC) is a group of NHS Acute Trusts in the East Midlands Region of England who have come together to strategically plan and collaborate on their collective digital transformation journey, with the ambition to strategically operate as one health care system.

TheDDC member organisations have embarked on a digital excellence journey to implement a nationally leading Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system that will transform the quality of care for their patients and staff by having instantly accessible information using the latest mobile technology, reducing paper usage and utilising clinical decision support tools.
The DDC Team is being recruited through Derbyshire Support & Facilities Services Limited to help drive these ambitions and deliver the expertise necessary.
Main duties of the job
As the Communications Assistant, you will provide subject specialist expertise to support the introduction of Electronic Patient Record (EPR) solutions, working across the East Midlands Acute Provider network of hospitals.
Initially based at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. You will report to the Associate Director of Communications as part of flattened structure and provide support and assistance to the whole team, using your skills to improve the communications service to the whole Trust.
This role is pivotal in communicating not only the incredible human-interest stories, which happen across a Trust that focuses on our patients, our colleagues and our communities but also in helping us to build and implement new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems across the EMAP organisations. The purpose of the role is to use strong communication skills to engage - ultimately supporting the design, build and integration of the EPR systems across the midlands region.
Together with exceptional organisational skills, an eye for detail and a desire to share information in a clear, concise and engaging way - working with the communications team, you will draft copy, manage competing deadlines and priorities and understand the importance of utilising appropriate communication channels.
