Job summary
DSFS are looking for a highly motivated, organised individual to join their payroll and pension team. A training and developmental plan will be in place that the individual can progress through to achieve apprenticeship qualifications.
In addition to the role covering general office duties during the initial training period, you will take responsibility for a divisional payroll section. Under the supervision of the payroll and senior payroll officers you will manage your own section and workload to meet strict deadlines and respond to queries from staff and managers.
Throughout your training you will gain knowledge of internal and external policies, terms and conditions and statutory legislation.

Main duties of the job
To take responsibility of your own payroll section, prioritising and organising your workload to meet strict deadlines, under the supervision of senior payroll staff until fully trained.
To help deliver an accurate and quality payroll service whilst adhering to company and statutory policies and procedures.
To provide advice and support on pay related matters to our customers, including staff members and managers across the organisation, and to develop and maintain working relationships with these and other internal departments and external agencies.
To continue to increase your knowledge of statutory legislation and to keep up to date with ongoing changes.
To continue to increase your knowledge of organisational policies and to keep up to date with ongoing changes.
To cover other general office duties, such as the opening and distribution of incoming post, filing, printing and photocopying.
To take on additional tasks as and when required, such as maintaining the NEST pension scheme contributions and Salary Sacrifice benefits applications.
To provide assistance to the Pensions Manager, including input on to ESR and Pensions online
