About us

We employ more than 4,500 colleagues across Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Primary Care and DSFS (Derbyshire Support and Facilities Services) and we also have some fantastic volunteers supporting our services.
We are proud of our recent feedback in the latest national NHS Staff Survey where 67.8% of colleagues recommended #TeamCRH as a place to work, and 70.4% told us they would be happy with the standard of care provided should their friend or relative need it.
We are a stable and well-performing organisation, with ambitious plans for the future. We were last inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as a whole Trust, including Royal Primary Care, in 2020. Overall, the Trust received a rating of 'Good'.
Our maternity services received a 'Good' rating from the CQC in the Safe and Well-led domains earlier this year and we are delighted to be among the best performing Trusts nationally in recent CQC patient experience surveys about inpatient care and for our urgent and emergency services.
