Job summary
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic and innovative individual to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Care Unit as Assistant Service Manager. You will show good leadership and communication skills, be able to deal with complex and varied information and be flexible and compassionate to the needs of the service and team members.
You will receive regular supervision and guidance from colleagues and management to support you in this role and you will be supported to develop your knowledge-base and skill. There will be opportunity to engage in varied leadership training within the organisation and be supported to develop in the future.
Supporting a number of key service developments across the CAMHS Care Unit you will be involved in all aspects of service performance management and development and be a key member of the team.
You will be expected to lead, motivate and influence individuals both within and external to the organisation, have excellent communication and analytical skills and be able to juggle the competing demands of the role whilst supporting the Care Unit Management Team.
Main duties of the job
The main emphasis of this role is to be involved in all aspects of service performance management and development and will be a key member of the Division team deputising for the Service Manager across a range of duties.
Duties will include managing in-patient and out-patient waiting lists daily, provide information, analyse and make recommendations for change to the Care Unit in respect of the waiting lists, lead key pieces of work resulting in the redesign of services, review benchmarking activity data, assist the Service Manager in preparing business cases when applicable, assist in recruitment and selection, and to deputise for the Service Manager during periods of absence.
