Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the General Medicine team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, working across the Gastroenterology/General medicine unit with primary focus on the ward.
This role will enable an ST3+ or equivalent level doctor to consolidate knowledge, skills, and confidence to enable future career progression, including achievement of requirements for application to specialty training. The minimum skill requirement is 4 years of post-graduate experience.
Some aspects of the role can be tailored to the individual needs of the post-holder, taking account of previous relevant experience.
You will attend Gastroenterology clinics and Endoscopy training sessions, and there will be opportunities to undertake guideline/pathway development and service improvement projects.
You will also run education and training programmes and participate in teaching and audit.
A clinical supervisor will be allocated and will provide support for the duration of the placement including helping you develop a portfolio and complete SLEs to evidence learning and training.
