Job summary
We are looking for an HR professional to join our team who wants to grow their practice in the areas of Human Resources Advisory work and absence management.
In this HR leadership role, you will be welcomed into a team with strong values at its heart. The role will report to the Head of HR and you will be supported by a network of people professionals. Gill Stevens, Head of HR said, "We're really looking forward to welcoming someone to be part of our team to provide dedicated, customer focussed HR advice and support. We're not looking solely for someone with masses of HR expertise, more what someone can bring to the team; I want you to feel able to bring your whole self to work and thrive." We value work-life balance and welcome applications for flexible and hybrid working.
Main duties of the job
We would like you to help us to develop ways of working which celebrate best practice HR. It's important that you can develop effective working relationships, and you will be asked to interact with all sorts of staff members from clinical colleagues to trade union representatives. We will be looking for you to be confident in your operational HR knowledge although you won't be expected to know it all and there are lots of friendly, experienced colleagues who will be happy to support and help you. It would be beneficial to bring a sound understanding of employment law, experience handling a range of employee relations issues and coaching and supporting colleagues to understand and interpret our people management policies. But you will never be alone and will be a very welcome addition to our workforce and organisational development team.
About us
Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is an acute Trust providing healthcare and community services for more than 400,000 people across Derbyshire.
We employ more than 4,500 colleagues across Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Primary Care and DSFS (Derbyshire Support and Facilities Services) and we also have some fantastic volunteers supporting our services.
We are proud of our recent feedback in the latest national NHS Staff Survey where 67.8% of colleagues recommended#TeamCRHas a place to work, and 70.4% told us they would be happy with the standard of care provided should their friend or relative need it.
We are a stable and well-performing organisation, with ambitious plans for the future. We were last inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as a whole Trust, including Royal Primary Care, in 2020. Overall, the Trust received a rating of 'Good'.
Our maternity services received a 'Good' rating from the CQC in the Safe and Well-led domains earlier this year and we are delighted to be among the best performing Trusts nationally in recent CQC patient experience surveys about inpatient care and for our urgent and emergency services.
