Main duties of the job
You will be part of the maxillofacial and orthodontic department's laboratory team. You be producing accurate study models and manufacturing custom made medical devices to prescription forms from clinic, whilst also supporting the Maxillofacial Prosthetist in his construction of devices that support patients following surgery for disease or trauma. Innovative ways of working are utilised within the laboratory, with a 3D working set up to produce printed aspects of anatomy.
You will be supported by the Laboratory Manager to develop in ways that will enhance you as a Dental Technician. There will also be opportunity to attend courses for educational benefit to yourself and the supporting of the department.

You'll need to be able to confidently communicate with people, be able to build sound working relationships and have a friendly and professional approach to work. The successful applicant will need to be GDC registered or on a recognised GDC qualifiable training programme.

Chesterfield Royal Hospital is located in Calow, Chesterfield, which is situated on a green field site on the edge of the Peak District National Park. We provide acute in-patient and out-patient care for Chesterfield and the surrounding rural area of North Derbyshire, serving a population of approximately 350,000 people.
