Job summary

Applications are invited for a full time (10PAs) Consultant Ophthalmologist for the Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to compliment the existing Consultants special interests. Special consideration will be given to candidates with an interest in Emergency Eye Care and General Ophthalmology. There is considerable scope for flexibility in providing a job plan that will suit the interests of the successful applicant. Candidates who would prefer a medical ophthalmology post will also be considered.

The Department of Ophthalmology operates from the new purpose built Chesterfield Eye Centre opened in June 2012 with Ultra-modern facilities. The Eye centre is a well-equipped outpatient department where it runs general ophthalmology and emergency clinics, as well as specialist clinics including medical retina, oculo-plastic, cornea and anterior segment, paediatric ophthalmology and glaucoma. The North Derbyshire DRS service is also provided from this site.
