We are pleased to recruit two Assistant Practitioners to join the Active Together service in Rotherham. Active Together is an innovative Prehabilitation and Rehabilitation Service, funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research, designed to improve outcomes and quality of life for people living with and beyond cancer.
Originally launched in Sheffield in 2022, the service has since expanded across the Yorkshire region, including Rotherham in 2024. As an Assistant Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of the Active Together service locally. You will work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver personcentred, evidencebased interventions that promote physical activity, wellbeing and recovery for cancer patients.This post sits within Care Group 4 Therapies & Dietetics, where you will be well supported clinically and professionally, with opportunities to contribute to service improvement and service evaluation.Full-time and part-time hours will be considered, offering flexibility to support worklife balance.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a strong interest in rehabilitation, who demonstrates excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be able to prioritise workload effectively, meet deadlines and work confidently in a fastpaced, demanding environment.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have experience working within a rehabilitation setting, with confidence and competence in supporting and delivering exercise programmes
- Be able to support the clinical team with assessments and delivery of treatment programmes, contributing to the achievement of service targets and objectives
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing high quality, person centred care
- Be a reliable and motivated team player, able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
