Are you a registered Nurse, Midwife or Health Visitor who is passionate about breastfeeding and infant feeding? Then we would love you to join our team!
We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual who can use their leadership and communication skills to maintain our work of achieving our current Level 3 BFI accreditation building upon this and continuing quality improvement initiatives in this area.
Through leadership, successful candidates will champion ongoing work around giving every child the best start in life and working within Rotherham CPHNS to reduce health inequalities, support women to breastfeed for longer and improve health outcomes for children.
You will have extensive knowledge around infant feeding and a proven track record of being able to successfully engage with service users and other key stakeholders to inform service improvements.
Youwill provide expert knowledge and support to professionals and families and will be responsible for implementing programmes of work that ensure delivery against BFI standards and the Rotherham Infant Feeding Framework.
The post will require travel between homes, schools, and community hubs within the Rotherham area.
An induction programme will be provided for successful candidates to support you to deliver our service confidently and competently.

Main duties of the job
To provide specialist leadership and expertise in breastfeeding and best practice infant feeding, with a focus on reducing health inequalities and improving outcomes for infants and families, particularly those from disadvantaged groups.
To act as a champion for Infant Feeding across the Family Hub network and within the wider community.
To ensure infant feeding support, advice, best practice and training opportunities are appropriately targeted and shared across services and partner agencies.
To lead the embedding of positive infant feeding practices across RCPHNS at all organisational levels.
To lead, support and facilitate clinical audit activity and report findings to Clinical Effectiveness arrangements.
To facilitate and deliver infant feeding and breastfeeding awareness training to a range of health and social care professionals.
To promote a positive and supportive breastfeeding culture within the organisation, partner services and the community.
To interpret and apply national infant feeding guidance, policies and procedures to inform local service development and training plans.
To work collaboratively with communities to protect, promote and support breastfeeding.
To work in partnership with Health Visitors, Midwives, Children and Young Peoples integrated teams and other key professionals.
