The Head of Nursing for Care Group 4 will provide senior professional nursing leadership across the Care Group, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, responsive and high quality care across Community Care, Therapies and Dietetics, Imaging and Dental Services. Reporting directly to the Care Group Clinical Director and General Manager, the post holder will work in close partnership with the Care Group leadership team to lead and support nursing services across all Care Group portfolios. The role will play a key part in driving service improvement, transformation and the delivery of high quality care for the population of Rotherham.The Head of Nursing is responsible for the professional leadership and oversight of nursing practice across a designated portfolio of services. The post holder will ensure that services are delivered in line with professional standards, regulatory requirements and Trust policies, and will contribute to the development and implementation of the Trust and Care Group nursing strategy.Key responsibilities include providing visible and credible nursing leadership, ensuring robust clinical governance arrangements, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and supporting the development of nursing leadership and capability across the Care Group. Main duties of the job
As Head of Nursing for Care Group 4, you will: Work as an inclusive and collaborative member of the Care Group 4 Triumvirate, contributing to the overall leadership, management and strategic direction of the Care Group. Support the General Manager in the delivery of services within a robust financial management framework, including the delivery of local and Trust wide Cost Improvement Programmes (CIP). Ensure that all relevant quality, safety and performance standards are consistently achieved and maintained across the Care Group. Lead and support the redesign and delivery of modern, patient focused services that meet the needs of the local population. Provide a visible and credible senior management presence across all services within the Care Group. Work closely with the Chief Nurse and Executive colleagues to deliver the Trusts corporate objectives and uphold the Trusts core values. Participate in and support the Trust Silver Command On Call rota, as required.The successful candidate will be an experienced and influential nurse leader with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues.
