Permanent, 3.45 hours per week
We are looking for an highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join the Adult Speech & Language Therapy Community Team to support adults with developmental and acquired dysfluency (stammering).
Main duties of the job
The role will involve working in outpatient clinics such as the Park Rehabilitation Centre providing assessment and therapy via face to face, video and phone consultations as appropriate for the patient.
The post holder will be a source of second opinions, advice, training and support for Speech & Language Therapists and other health professionals working with dysfluency and associated disorders as well as holding a caseload.
There will be a requirement to link in with regional and national Speech & Language Therapy dysfluency specialists as appropriate and engage with the evidence base in order to ensure intervention is based on best practice.

- Post-graduate qualifications to Masters level or equivalent with respect to the assessment and management and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders for acquired and progressive neurological conditions
Desirable
- Membership of Professional body- RCSLT
- Management/leadership qualification or equivalent
- Completed recognised IT course e.g. ECDL/Elite/MOST
- Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently between TRFT sites and for patient visits in the Rotherham area and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
