We are looking for an highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join the Adult Speech & Language Therapy Community Team to support adults with who are experiencing swallowing and communication problems in the context of highly complex needs related to acquired and/or progressive neurological and respiratory conditions, including functional neurological disorder
Main duties of the job
The role will involve working in outpatient clinics such as the Park Rehabilitation Centre providing assessment and therapy via face to face, video and phone consultations as appropriate for the patient. The post holder will be a source of second opinions, advice, training and support for Speech & Language Therapists and other health professionals working in community settings as well as holding a caseload. There will be a requirement to continue their professional development via a range of methods including clinical excellence networks, training and engaging with the evolving evidence base in order to provide care to patients based on best practice.

- Recognised Speech & Language Therapy Diploma/Degree qualification or equivalent
- Post-graduate qualifications to Masters level or equivalent with respect to the assessment and management and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders for acquired and progressive neurological conditions including dementias
- Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently between TRFT sites and for patient visits in the Rotherham area and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010

- Management/leadership qualification or equivalent
- Completed recognised IT course e.g. ECDL/Elite/MOST
