Job summary

As a Digital Programme manager, you will be responsible for leading the Trusts Digital Patient Engagement programme.

Main duties of the job

The Digital Programme Manager provides strategic leadership for the delivery of high-profile digital transformation initiatives within the Trust, specifically Digital Patient Engagement. The postholder is responsible for the full programme lifecyclefrom developing HM Treasury Green Book business cases to secure national funding, to overseeing complex governance and multi-stakeholder engagement.Essential CriteriaTo be successful in this role, the candidate must demonstrate:NHS Expertise: Experience delivering complex digital transformation programmes within an NHS environment.Strategic Planning: Proven ability to develop SOC, OBC, and FBC business cases using the HM Treasury Five Case Model.Programme Governance: Expertise in designing and implementing robust governance structures for large-scale portfolios.Stakeholder Mastery: The ability to communicate complex technical and financial information to diverse audiences, from clinical teams to national NHS England executives.Benefit Realisation: A track record of identifying, tracking, and realising both financial and non-financial benefits in a healthcare setting.Change Management: Advanced skills in leading digital change and influencing Trust-wide policies and practices.

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience of the successful delivery of highly complex projects to time, cost and quality targets
  • Experience of delivering projects with multiple internal and external interdependencies
  • Creation and submission of business cases including financial and benefit analysis
  • Ability to build a team of skilled professionals and build capability among staff members
  • Experience of managing a PMO Ability to organise, plan and prioritise workloads
  • Experience of NHS IT systems

Desirable

  • Creation and presentation of reports at a senior level
  • Experience of delivering projects in accordance to a PRINCE2 framework

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to Masters level in a Technology related subject or significant equivalent relevant experience
  • Proven ability and supporting evidence of managing large scale projects within agreed quality, time and budget constraints
  • Proven ability and experience of ensuring service and technical solutions are aligned
  • Proven experience of budgetary management with HFMA qualification
  • Proven ability of managing and prioritising conflicting tasks to meet deadlines

  • Formal Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE 2, MSP)
  • Knowledge and understanding of admin and clinical NHS IT systems
  • Other IT qualifications or evidence of implementation/support of large IT systems
