The Rotherham Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Phlebotomist to join our caring, experienced team. Your main role will be to obtain blood samples via venepuncture, with full training provided.
This rewarding position supports patient care across inpatient, outpatient, and paediatric settings. Working across two Rotherham NHS sites, you will help deliver high-quality, compassionate phlebotomy services.
Key points
- Flexible Working-7- day service on a 6-week rolling rota, including Bank Holidays.
- Travel -Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently between TRFT sites and for patient visits in the Rotherham area and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Main duties of the job
As a Phlebotomist at The Rotherham Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a key role in supporting patient care by ensuring the accurate and timely collection, identification, and transport of blood samples.
You will follow strict protocols for patient identification and sample labelling, maintain high standards of quality and safety, and contribute to efficient stock management. The role requires attention to detail, good communication, and adherence to Trust policies and procedures to ensure a reliable and patient-centred phlebotomy service.
