We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated Nurse Manager to join our Gynaecology team. This role leads the nurse-led Pregnancy Advisory Service (PAS) and Gynaecology Same Day Emergency Care (GSDEC), while supporting the inpatient Gynaecology Ward (B11) when required.
Youll need excellent communication skills, a passion for womens health, and experience across the Gynaecology specialty. Ward B11 is a busy 14-bed unit operating 24/7, alongside GSDEC, which runs MondayFriday, 8am5pm, providing urgent care for early pregnancy complications and acute gynaecological conditions. Compassion and sensitivity are essential in supporting patients during stressful times.
PAS offers confidential, nurse-led care for women considering termination of pregnancy, open MondayThursday, 8am6pm. We provide non-judgmental guidance and support to help women make informed decisions.

Main duties of the job
As Senior Nurse Manager, you will lead and manage the Pregnancy Advisory Service, GSDEC, and support Ward B11, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.
Responsibilities include clinical leadership, operational oversight, and service development. You will mentor staff, maintain standards, and implement policies to ensure efficient patient flow and continuity of care.
Key duties:
Lead nursing teams and promote evidence-based practice. Oversee daily operations, including staffing, rotas, and resources.
Ensure timely admissions/discharges and effective bed management.
Manage budgets and ensure cost-effective resource use. Support staff development through supervision, appraisals, and training compliance.
Address performance issues and foster a positive team culture. Lead audits, drive improvements, and ensure infection control compliance.
Investigate complaints/incidents and share learning.
Maintain strong MDT communication and safeguard vulnerable patients.
Identify and mitigate clinical risks to ensure safe care delivery.
