Deputy Facilities Manager

Job summary

We are looking for a Deputy Facilities Manager to join our team for 37.7 hours per week

Responsible to the Facilities Manager to support the provision of professional line-management in order to ensure the safe, efficient and cost-effective delivery of Facilities Services at the hospital. The services will include Cleaning duties, Deep Cleaning, Isolation cleaning, Laundry/linen and General office administration tasks.

Line manage Facilities Supervisors to ensure that the portfolio of services, ad-hoc tasks and projects are planned, managed and delivered effectively within the allocated financial budget. To deputise for Facilities Manager in their absence. To work within the Facilities Management Structure.

Main duties of the job

  • To manage staff sickness/absence levels in accordance with Trust Policy via stage meetings and LTS meetings and Manage, monitor and review duties for the Facilities Supervisors. Work alongside the Facilities Coordinator in maintaining cleaning standards.
  • Ensure Facilities Services comply with all Trust Policies and Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Responding to enquiries and complaints, liaising with other Service Users to meet agreed service standards.
  • Participating in work force planning and recruitment.
  • Manage staff timesheets for staff pay purposes and data entry and the allocation of staff annual leave.
  • Flexible to work different hours to meet with staff working at different times.
