Part time - 30 hours per week
Were seeking an organised, personable, and professional Clerical Assistant to join the administrative team supporting our Nutrition & Dietetics service.
You will be the first point of contact, offering administrative and reception support to Dietitians, Dietetic Assistants, student Dietitians and other healthcare professionals. Your role will encompass a variety of administrative and reception tasks that ensure smooth day to day operations across clinical and service areas.
Main duties of the job
As a key member of the admin team, your day to day tasks will include
- Booking outpatient and clinic appointments using electronic systems
- Generating prescription requests for nutritional products
- Managing a busy telephone line, responding to enquiries from patients, GPs, carers and other healthcare staff
- Handling general clerical tasks: dealing with incoming/outgoing mail, scanning, photocopying, sorting deliveries, and greeting visitors
- Monitoring and actioning service mailboxes and emails promptly
- Maintaining confidentiality in line with Caldicott and GDPR guidelines
- Working collaboratively with other admin staff and working independently when required
